Butter Beans with Tomatoes and Green Chilies
Prepared with FLAV-R-PAC® or WESTPAC® Classic Vegetables Speckled Butter Beans
|1 Tbsp.||Butter or margarine|
|1 cup||Onions, chopped|
|1 tsp.||Garlic, minced|
|1 can (14.5 oz.)||Tomatoes, diced|
|1 can (4 oz.)||Green chilies, diced|
|¼ tsp.||Black pepper|
|16 oz.||Speckled Butter Beans|
- In a large saucepan, sauté onion and garlic in butter for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Stir in tomatoes, chilies, salt and pepper.
- Add beans and heat to a boil. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
