Carmelized Baby Carrots and Onions
Prepared with FLAV-R-PAC® or WESTPAC® Premium Vegetables • Whole Baby Carrots
Ingredients
| ¼ cup | Butter |
| 1 medium | Onion, sliced |
| ½ cup | Brown sugar |
| ¼ cup | Orange juice |
| 2 tsp. | Orange zest |
| ½ tsp. | Allspice |
| 16 oz. | Whole Baby Carrots |
Directions
- In a non-stick skillet melt butter and sauté onions over medium-high heat for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- In small bowl combine sugar, juice, zest and allspice.
- Add mixture and carrots to onions, bring to a simmer while stirring. Cook uncovered for 10 minutes.
