Zesty Carrots Au Gratin

Prepared with FLAV-R-PAC® or WESTPAC® Classic Vegetables • Crinkle Cut Carrots

Ingredients

16 oz.Crinkle Cut Carrots
1 cupMilk
1 ½ Tbsp.Flour
1 Tbsp.Prepared horseradish
½ tsp.Salt
¼ tsp.Pepper
3 Tbsp.Margarine or butter
½ cupSharp cheddar cheese
½ cupDry bread crumbs, garlic & herb seasoned

Directions

  1. Prepare carrots according to stove top directions. Do not drain off liquid. Add 1 Tbsp. margarine.
  2. In a small bowl combine milk, flour, horseradish, salt, pepper and add to carrots. Stir and cook over medium heat until sauce thickens. Add grated cheese and stir until melted.
  3. Place carrot mixure in a 1 ½ quart casserole dish. Mix bread crumbs and 2 Tbsp. margarine and sprinkle evenly over carrots.
  4. Bake in 350°F oven for 20 minutes. Serve.
