Zesty Carrots Au Gratin
Prepared with FLAV-R-PAC® or WESTPAC® Classic Vegetables • Crinkle Cut Carrots
Ingredients
| 16 oz. | Crinkle Cut Carrots |
| 1 cup | Milk |
| 1 ½ Tbsp. | Flour |
| 1 Tbsp. | Prepared horseradish |
| ½ tsp. | Salt |
| ¼ tsp. | Pepper |
| 3 Tbsp. | Margarine or butter |
| ½ cup | Sharp cheddar cheese |
| ½ cup | Dry bread crumbs, garlic & herb seasoned |
Directions
- Prepare carrots according to stove top directions. Do not drain off liquid. Add 1 Tbsp. margarine.
- In a small bowl combine milk, flour, horseradish, salt, pepper and add to carrots. Stir and cook over medium heat until sauce thickens. Add grated cheese and stir until melted.
- Place carrot mixure in a 1 ½ quart casserole dish. Mix bread crumbs and 2 Tbsp. margarine and sprinkle evenly over carrots.
- Bake in 350°F oven for 20 minutes. Serve.
