Preparation
For food safety and quality cook to a temperature of 165°F.
Stove Top
Bring 1/3 cup water to a boil in a 3-quart saucepan. Add 16 ounces of vegetables. Return to boil. Reduce to medium, cover and boil gently for 5-7 minutes or until tender. Stir once during cooking time. Avoid overcooking. Serve immediately.
Pressureless Steamer
Place frozen vegetables into a perforated steam table pan. Do not add water or cover. Steam product in a pressureless steamer for 3 minutes. Serve immediately.
Microwave
Place 16 ounces of vegetables in 1 1/2 quart microwave safe casserole dish. Add 1/3 cup of water, cover and cook for 6-8 minutes. Stir halfway during cooking time. Allow to stand for 3 minutes. Serve immediately.
Note: Microwave cooking times may vary, depending on the particular oven used. Follow manufacturer's instructions.
Storage
Store at or below 0ºF (-18°F) or store in freezer compartment of the refrigerator.
